Welcome
to Christian Study Tours website, your first step towards the trip of a
lifetime to biblical lands.
Dr. House has been leading tours to the lands of the Bible since the mid-1990s. His tours are carefully planned to provide education, inspiration, and lots of fun. Unlike many tours, your trip with Christian Study Tours will be lead by two biblical scholars who understand the history, geography, and significance of each site (see Tour Leader and Tour Guide). Many tours have hundreds of persons, which takes several hours out of the day for simply using the restrooms and eating. Christian Study Tours usually takes groups under 30 (on a 55 person bus) that allows for more time at the historical sites and opportunity to visit nearly a third more sites than most groups. A small group provides for more personal interaction with the tour director and tour guide, and more personal attention while on the tour.

You
will see where the patriarchs walked and lived, where the kings of
Israel built their cities, and prophets proclaimed the words of God to
the people of Israel. You will travel the land to which God descended
into humanity, in the person of Jesus the Messiah. You will explore
places where the Apostles taught and sent their letters.
On
the
Israel trip you will visit the hills and valleys, enjoy the lakes
and walk the deserts, and marvel at the beauty and desolation of the
small land of Israel, the center of human history. You will gaze over
the Valley of Armageddon, walk over the ground on which David fought
the giant Goliath, stand in front of the gate through which Abraham
most likely walked when coming to the land of promise. If you take the extension trip to Egypt, you will see the wonders of Cairo, including the pyramids and sphinx. In Upper Egypt, you will visit the tombs of the kings of Egypt and their magnificent temples.

On
the Greece and Turkey tour you will see the ancient splendors of Greece
like the Parthenon, visit biblical cities like Corinth, and cruise the
beautiful Aegean Sea, as well as traveling to Turkey's biblical sites
like Ephesus, Laodicea, and Pergamum, and see the crossroad of the
world, Istanbul. You will walk down the very streets that Paul walked
when delivering the Gospel of the Messiah Jesus to the Gentile world.
If
you take a trip with us to Italy, you will see the marvels of ancient
Rome, where many of its ancient buildings still stand such as the
Pantheon, the coliseum, the market place of the emperor Trajan, the
Titus' arch of triumph after defeating the Jewish people in Jerusalem
in A.D. 70, and many other Roman and Christian sites. We will also
visit the ruins of Pompey and Herculaneum, destroyed by the volcano
Vesuvius in A.D. 70. The visit to Rome will also include a visit to
Vatican City with its many museums, and St. Peter's Basilica.
